To draw upon one's imagination is comparatively easy; but when one is con fined to stubborn facts, facts possibly in the memory of men, or matter of historical rec ord, where the least deviation, or tri¿ing irregularity from established truths would be a subject of criticism, it is an affair of no small labor and anxiety.
