O knihe
'Teaching' remains to be one of the most preferred occupations amongst the educated women workforce despite a significant growth in corporate sector employment opportunities in modern times. However, the status of participation of women teachers at higher levels of education has been low due to gender specific issues in participation and labour market discrimination, but very little academic literature exists on this aspect and on also what best can be done to improve their nature of participation. This book provides a comprehensive analysis on the issues in participation of women teachers at under graduate and post graduate levels of teaching. They have been very aptly applied to labour market theories of discrimination and exploitation and analysed on the basis of multiple regression model. Besides, some of those confidential issues which have had an adverse impact on their work have been highlighted by way of interesting and heart touching case studies. This book would help to through light on some subtle yet crucial participatory issues among women teachers in higher education. It would sensitise the managements at the under graduate levels and the university authorities.
